At Gateway High School we pride ourselves in creating

Take the completed application to your administrator or counselor. Please note: application does not guarantee acceptance.

 Individual Electives and Credit Opportunities

  • Gateway offers rotating electives throughout the year, and if we don't have what your student needs, we can assist them in signing up and taking classes at DVC, LMC, and/or Loma Vista Adult Education Center.
  • We offer all subjects required to graduate along with other ways to earn elective credits, such as field trips, work experience, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Students in Gateway School must attend classes everyday in order to be successful

  • Students at Gateway School can graduate at their comprehensive high school. They have to meet the comprehensive high school graduation requirements.

At Gateway School, our mission is to prepare you to succeed in your education, graduate high school, pursue post-secondary options and become a productive citizenGateway School is part of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.  It is a fully WASC-accredited school, with California credentialed teachers and has an UC/CSU approved college preparatory program.  The standards in Gateway School meet all the requirements for graduation from the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.

How do you know you are ready?

 - You are prepared to attend classes 5 days a week from 8:25-1:50pm

 - You require extra support with traditionally independent study work

 - You have a significant amount of credits to make up

 - You can work independently to complete elective course work outside of the classroom setting after a 30 day probation period


 - You can write a 250 word essay detailing your current academic and personal goals
